Tanya Pluth: Tanya Pluth Home

What reviewers say about Tanya Pluth's Debut Album, Saving Graces:

"Filled with country's heart, folk's lyrics and attention to the issues facing women (and everyone) in the world today. . .You don't doubt her when she sings that she'd like to make traveling her home, and you can almost feel 'sun shining right through skin' as her voice shines its brilliance in your direction. "

- Kathryn Vercillo, Indie In-Tune Magazine

"Don’t miss Saving Graces (tanyapluth.com) by Tanya Pluth. The dozen tracks rock (Inside Out), sway (Go On, Be Kind), swing (Traveling Home), step lively (Hard Place), swoon (Don’t Leave Here So Broken), and stand up for what’s right (Would You Try), and they do it all with grace"

- Gregg Shapiro, Baltimore OUTLoud

"There are songs of adversity(particularly “Would You Try”), seeking (“A Little Brighter,” “Traveling Home”), and hope through it all (“Well As You Will”)."

- Don Thomason, The Amplifier

Music for.... comfort and dreams and answers to questions I don’t know how to ask any other way. For stories that refuse the telling without notes, rhythm, sound. Music for washing dishes, bouldering, laying in the bathtub, driving down the interstate, holding community meetings, putting the kids to sleep, framing houses and windows, running yellow lights, reading, landscaping, sipping high maintenance coffee drinks, knitting, cooking dinner. Music for motion, commotion, pathways leading round and up and back and under snapshots of this life. For community, celebration, protest, traveling, healing, coming home. Music wanders. Impromptu, planned, shaken up, all leading to careful creation. Leading us beyond the limits of what we think we can do with challenge and peace, loss and welcome, gain and release. For vision, grace, wholeness, laughter. Music. Want to hear what it sounds like?

Tanya Pluth - Artist's Purpose

My purpose in writing music and sharing it with the world is to make the invisible visible; to create connections and community through music that entertains, comforts, supports, challenges, and motivates all of us to be fiercely kind, and committed to justice; to laugh hard and often; to think critically, and be open-hearted in our actions, thoughts, and deeds. Music as companion, nudging me towards deeper embrace of all that this world offers, from smack-down head and heart crushing experiences to high-five, got to fly, best, sweetest, spirit-heart-mind-blowing expansive moments. How to talk about any of this? Don't. Sing it. Every day. In whatever way calls.
